SEMPO, the world's largest nonprofit organization serving the search and digital marketing industry and the marketing professionals engaged in it, today announced the launch of a new initiative to deliver improved benefits to its members at the local level. The program, SEMPO Cities, replaces informal local member groups and offers standardized support for local community events. In addition, October will become "SEMPO Cities Month" with a focus on local events, all supported by SEMPO sponsorship.
Eric Dufour, Planning Media Co-Founder, has been named the Montreal City Leader for 2015-2016. Having organized many conferences for SEMPO as well as acting as an industry speaker, Eric will take charge of executing the SEMPO's action plan for the coming year.
There will be one major conference in October as well as the publishing of industry content such as how to choose your agency, how to evaluate digital marketers, best practice, and more.
